Gianni Sanna “Lu Profeta”
Historical DJ and MC of the Sassari rap and hip hop scene: in the mid-80s we find him among the first groups of kids who practiced street art just arrived from the USA: breakers with boombox and cardboard on the floor to dance and send flows around the city, the first spray cans to scratch the gray concrete walls, the first beatboxes and the first battles.
From there on, his path begins, which sees him over the years as MC in various musical experiences (Matrice sarda, Istrales, Ariabàscia to name the most significant) and as a disc jockey.
A lover of vinyl and needles, he approached and refined DJing thanks to the collaboration with Radio Venere and the evenings in the discos of the Sassari hinterland.
He tries his hand, for many years, with a camera and a control desk, working at a local radio and producing some independent videos.
A fine connoisseur and purist of early rap and 80s music in general, he returns after a few years of hiatus, to make the needles jump
on the vinyl and to make us jump too with a wide and refined selection.
