The Robot Scientists are Markus Schneider and Stefan Maurer, two „cosmic & magico disco“ DJs and vinyl collectors from the Saarland in Germany, spinning eternal classics on the edges of NuDisco, Balearica, Acid House, Dark Disco and Indie Dance.

They started back in 2007, just when the Disco revival began to take off. In those years, they created 17 highly popular „Musica Da Batticuore“ vinyl mixes with Italo Disco B-sides and New Wave obscurities. David Caretta invited them to do a release on Space Factory, later the two fun-loving electro-disco romantics were called „Super-Selectors“ by the Lebanese Press.

Since 2011, they also co-run Emerald & Doreen Records, one of the „most interesting digital labels“, said Jerry Bouthier, DJ & formerly Vivianne Westwood‘s catwalk sound designer.

In 2013, Markus started the „Something Spæcial“ DJ mix series, a highly acclaimed DJ mix and podcast show, promoting a more continental variation of the UK-based „A Love From Outer Space / ALFOS“ club night by Sean Johnston and the late Andrew Weatherall.

As DJs, they got invited by fans and friends to play many locations like Barcelona, Berlin and Beirut, they shared stages with Giorgio Moroder in Luxembourg and Die Antwoord in Berlin, and are known worldwide to 1000s of fans on their social media channels for their eclectic, emotional, high-energy and always surprising party mixes, focusing on „all killer, no filler“ sets – as „the robots“ like to point out with a big smile on their faces.
